c.1840 Hingham Massachusetts Folk Art Portrait

c.1840-1850 Boston area portrait, oil on canvas, descended in the
Tower family of Cohasset, Mass. The Tower family were early settlers of
Hingham, Mass., this portrait being one of the family members. Original,
untouched condition, with minor restoration/inpainting very well done
over the years. No crackleure or flaking, some light scuffs and light
wear. The original lemon gold frame showing some wear to the inner gesso
liner, with some 3-5" sections missing.
Measurement: 27 x 22"
