19thC. Punched Tin Lantern -
Paint Decorated , Paul Revere style lantern
c.1780-1840, with good oxidation and wear to the paint, dating it to mid
19thC. Lantern is in very good condition, with only a few minor
blemishes - hanging loop is a bit out of shape, paint losses and wear.
Candle cup is folded over and cleated through the bottom. The yellow and
red trim and apple green paint are strong - some wear to the black paint
on top.
Measurement: 17" H x 5.25" diameter.
