Cut and Painted Silhouette - Salem Sitter ,
A lovely silhouette, hollow cut head, pencil embellished hair and
collar, watercolor painted coat. Housed behind black oval mount in
mahogany veneered flat face frame, paper backing. Frame with chipped
corners and small veneer loss at top. Ink notation on back reads: "A
member of the Decker family of Salem. A gift of Miss Adele Decker to
Elena (?) Woodbury."
Measurement: approx. 3 1/2 x 2 1/2 sight; 6 1/2 x 5 1/4" framed.
